For referral partners
Where the discharge plan
becomes a home
Roots & Wings is a women-only recovery residence in Jacksonville, serving Duval, Clay, and St. Johns Counties, built to work alongside the clinicians, case managers, and court staff who send women our way.
At a glance
What to know before you refer
- Who we serve
- Adult women (18+) committed to recovery, with at least 60 days substance-free at admission. Not there yet? Call anyway, and we'll time the referral with you.
- Level of support
- Built to NARR Level II standards: peer-led and peer-monitored. Not 24/7 staffed, and not a clinical program. She lives here while she does the clinical work.
- MAT
- Welcome and protected. Prescribed medications, including MAT, are never a barrier to admission.
- Legal status
- Justice-involved women are welcome, including women in drug court, on probation, on parole, or on pretrial release. With her consent, we keep her officer or court team informed.
- Clinical care
- Continuing outpatient care, IOP, and prescriber appointments are required and coordinated with her providers.
- Fees
- One published rate for every woman, shared when you call. Deferred payment is available on request.
- Location
- Shared with referring partners and accepted applicants. That's standard safety practice for a women's residence.
- Not a fit
- Women who need detox or a higher level of care. Medical cannabis is prohibited on the premises under Florida law, and active use is a disqualifying admission criterion. That's a legal distinction, not a moral one.
How to refer
From first call to move‑in
-
Call or email
Reach us at (904) 372-3723 or info@ayarecoverywellness.org. We respond to referral inquiries within one business day.
-
A conversation
A short conversation with her, and with you. We look at her strengths, not just her risks.
-
Conditional admission
If it's a fit, we review the house agreement with her, confirm her clinical and prescriber appointments, and set a move-in date.
-
Stay in the loop
With her written consent, we keep the referring provider updated on how she's doing.
Our commitments
What she, and you, can count on
Safety first
Naloxone on site and staff trained to use it. No woman is ever discharged for calling 911.
Return to use
A return to use is met with a plan, not an automatic discharge. We don't move her until we know where she's going.
No cold exits
If Roots & Wings turns out not to be the right fit, we plan a warm transfer to a better one, not a door.
No referral fees
Aya does not pay or accept anything of value for a referral. Every woman pays the same published rate.
